BBC funding from Nottinghamshire County Council is to improve areas within towns and residential estates. The list of things you can do is endless, but the money is often used for pavement improvements, and making derelit areas more visually acceptable.

It has recently been announced that the George Street area of Hucknall has won an award from the Building Better Communities Scheme. The award of £5000 to be spent on improving your community.
This is how local resients propose to spend the award:
They intend to plant bulbs and shrubs
Erect a bench in honour of Robert Parkin
Extra street lights
Litter / Clean up group - equipment
